چکیده
Methylene blue (MB) is wastewater from the textile industry. This dye difficult to degrade naturally because it has a benzene group in its chemical chain. There are several ways reduce waste, one of economical by using adsorption. In this study, MB was adsorbed activated carbon post-anthesis male flower palm oil (PAMF) waste which potassium hydroxide (KOH). The adsorption process carried out at various temperatures (30, 40, and 50℃). results showed that addition KOH activator could increase sorption capacity methylene 25.64%. optimum temperature suitable for with PAMF 30℃ an 58.4793%. equilibrium mechanism studied two types isotherm models, namely Langmuir Freundlich models. Based on data obtained, compatible model R 2 0.9557.
